Lumberen was a male hedgehog, and a member of the Hedgehog Host.

Urchin and the Heartstone[]
Lumberen was one of the hedgehogs who was sent to work in the mines during Captain Husk's rule of Mistmantle Island, but returned to the Tower after Husk's death. However, many of the hedgehogs who had been employed by Husk still stayed together after his death, collectively garnering the nickname "the Hedgehog Host". As a member of the Hedgehog Host, Lumberen was often seen in the company of Gorsen and other hedgehogs.
Lumberen sympathized with Lord Treeth while he was imprisoned on Mistmantle. Lord Treeth managed to sway him, along with other members of the hedgehog host, convincing them that hedgehogs were the only animals fit to rule, and that they should subsequently overthrow Crispin. They formed Gorsen's Brotherhood and attempted a coup, joining Lord Treeth when he attacked Crispin during an audience and fighting against Crispin's supporters. However, their coup was unsuccessful, and Lumberen, along with the rest of the living members of Gorsen's Brotherhood, were put into prison. While their fate was never addressed again, it's likely that they spent the rest of their lives there or were exiled from Mistmantle.
